Food Piece

      Sweet Potato pie has always been made on special occasions or on holidays. My grandma had always

Mom and uncles when they were younger. The first time I had a taste of sunshine when I 7 years old. I

Went down to Houston, Texas for the summer.  After having that first I fell in love with the pie and

I still do. Every time fall came I would always ask for the pie. The crust on the pie tasted like something

Rachel Ray would cook. I wanted to learn how to make it but she has to teach my mom make it.   I

Remember the first time I had it I thought I was at a five star restaurant in my house. On

Thanksgiving she would make about seven to 10 pies so everybody could have some, because I would

Kill them. The way she makes them is like no other I have ever had. Two years later she started to sell

The pies for like five or ten dollars. She also sends them to my uncles in Texas. Something I want to ask

Her is how to make it taste like something on the food channel. Thanksgiving isn’t thanksgiving without

the pie.
